Regarding the reconstitution of the SMC (School Management Committee) before the commencement of the academic year 2023-24
According to Section-21 of the Right to Education Act, School Management Committee (SMC) in all primary schools of the state and School Management and Development Committee (SMC) in secondary schools have been constituted since 2010-11. The SMC has to be reconstituted every two years. The committee was reconstituted in the year 20212. Now, in order to maintain uniformity across the state, from the new academic session of the year 2023-24 (for two years 2023-24 and 2024-25), the School Management Committee (SMC) has been reconstituted taking into consideration the following recommendations. 75 per cent (9 members) in ISMC of the parents or guardians of the children studying in the school who have been members for one term may not get re-appointed in re-constitution. Government officials who are natives of the village who are retired or in service should be informed to the concerned to take them as academicians.
3. Organize a parent meeting for the reconstitution of Aayaryashree Dhwara School Management Committee SMC held in the school by holding a Valisabha/Gram Sabha and informing the parents in public places prior to the parent meeting and preparing the minutes of the parent meeting received for the reconstitution.
4. To complete the above work before the commencement of the academic year 2023-24. 5. For the reconstitution of the School Management and Development Committee (SMC), the instructions in the attached letter of the Education Department will have to be followed. After the restructuring of all government primary schools in the district, CRC Co.O. The BRC CO shall give a certificate to the BRC CO that the School Management Committees in all the schools under its jurisdiction have been reconstituted as per SMC rules. Ask them to send a certificate to the State Project Office that all the schools in their district have been restructured.
The principals of all the government secondary schools in the district should give the certificate to the CRC CO that the SMDC has been reconstituted as per the rules in their government secondary schools, the CRC COs should give the certificate to the BRC CO that the SMC has been reconstituted as per the rules in the government secondary schools under their control. The BRC CoO shall give a certificate to the district education officer that SMDC has been restructured in all the government secondary schools of his taluka as per the rules. Then the district education officer shall give a certificate to the district education officer that the SMDC has been restructured as per the rules in all the government secondary schools of his district. It has to be sent to the office.
