Regarding Baseline Survey for Class 1 to 4 Children, Ref: (1) Approval of Education Department received on Single File No. 12 of GCERT dated 11/05/2022 (r) Branch Note dt. On 29/06/2022 Hon. According to the permission given by the Director Mr., 2024-36 National Education Policy 2020, Apun Bharat Mission has been launched across the nation and the state to ensure that all children studying in class 3 reach the set targets and skills of basic literacy and numeracy by the year 2026. The mission aims to achieve age-appropriate learning outcomes in children. In order to achieve this target even by the children of the state, it is necessary to know the educational achievement of children from 5 years to 8 years. Accordingly, A baseline survey will be conducted to find out the learning achievement in basic literacy and numeracy of children aged 5 to 8 years i.e. studying in class 1 to 4. Instructions for this are as follows. This survey is to know the current learning status of the children. Children are not tested. The survey is to cover all medium schools as well as all government, aided and self-supporting schools in the state. Children currently studying in class 1 to 4 will be included in the baseline survey. A student who enters class 1 is to be assessed based on the child’s final learning outcomes. A student who gets admission in class 2 after completing class 1 is to be evaluated based on the academic performance of class 1. Similarly for class 3 the assessment is based on the study results of class 2 and for class 4 the study results of class 3 are to be conducted.

The survey instrument includes individual as well as group assessment, which the teacher has to evaluate accordingly. Which the class teacher of that standard has to evaluate his class. Marks have to be indicated in the given evaluation sheet and its data entry has to be done, the teacher has to take care that the students do not feel any fear or shyness in this survey. CRCO, BRCO, Beat Education Inspector and Taluka Primary Education Officer will have to visit the school during the baseline survey. Diet lecturers have to visit schools in their liaison taluka.
